1. The app
Basho is a local-first Markdown editor. The app is free to use and reads and writes plain files on your own computer. Your files are yours; Basho claims no rights over what you write.
2. Supporter
Supporter is a paid subscription that supports independent development. It adds early access to beta builds and a badge in the app. It does not lock any feature of the app, and ending it never affects your files.
3. Payment and cancellation
Payment is handled by Stripe. You can cancel, switch between monthly and yearly, or update your card in the Stripe customer portal. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
4. Beta builds
Beta builds are provided as they are. Keep a copy of your files; a plain folder of .md files is easy to back up, and a backup is worth keeping.
